There are 40 Local Action Groups (LAG) in Latvia which have received support to implement the local development strategy.

LAG is:

• Unity (association or foundation) of local organizations and rural population with legally-constitued common structure, 
• Acting in homogenous rural territory with population between 5 000 and 65 000

At the decision-making level a group, where the economic and social partners make up at least 50% of the partners involved.
