Minsters of Agriculture of the Baltic states and Poland meet in Riga to discuss CAP after 2020
Tuesday, March 13th, a meeting between Ministers of Agriculture of Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania and Poland is going to take place in Riga in the premises of the in Ministry of Agriculture.
The aim of the meeting is to discuss the future of Common agriculture policy (CAP) after 2020 focusing on convergence of direct payments between the Member States.
Minister of Rural Affairs of the Republic of Estonia Tarmo Tamm, Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Lithuania Bronius Markauskas, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Krzysztof Jurgiel are going to take part in the discussion about future of CAP after the invitation of Minister of Agriculture of Latvia Jānis Dūklavs.
During the meeting Latvian, Estonian, Lithuanian and Polish Ministers of Agriculture are going to sign a joint declaration on the Commission Communication on The Future of Food and Farming. The communication of European Commission The Future of Food and Farming defining the priorities of CAP was published on November 2017.
