Minister of Agriculture Armands Krauze has tasked experts from the Ministry of Agriculture, in cooperation with the Rural Support Service (LAD), the Latvian Rural Advisory and Training Centre (LLKC), and the State Plant Protection Service (VAAD), to promptly assess the extent of damage caused by the heavy rainfall on May 29th and 30th, 2025, in the agricultural sector – including crops, vegetable fields, and orchards.
