All fishing products, exporting into the European Union from third countries, including processed products must be accompanied by validated catch certificates. Approval must certify that the catch has been carried out in accordance with applicable laws, regulations and international conservation and management measures. The provisions concerning catch certification scheme is contained in Council Regulation (EC) No 1005 / 2008 , Chapter III of the catch certificate and re-export certificate but examples are given in Annex II to this Regulation.

Process description

  1. The submission of the Ministry of Agriculture

  2. The catch certificate data checking
    Ministry of Agriculture shall be verified and approved in accordance with Regulation No 1005 / 2008 of the catch certificate is drawn up in accordance with Annex II to the compliance with Latvian fishermen's catches.

  3. The catch certificate receipt
    Ministry of Agriculture shall be issued by a validated catch certificate
