On Sunday and Monday, July 6th and 7th, the agriculture ministers of the Baltic states will meet in Tallinn (Estonia) to discuss their position on the implementation of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) post 2027, the EU multiannual budget, and Baltic cooperation on food security in crisis situations.

Latvian Minister of Agriculture Armands Krauze, Lithuanian Minister of Agriculture Ignas Hofmanas, and Estonian Minister of Regional Affairs and Agriculture Hendrik Johannes Terras will address the shared interests of the Baltic states regarding the future of the CAP and the EU multiannual funding for the agricultural sector post- 2027. The ministers will also coordinate a joint stance on the future implementation of the CAP.

Given the current political situation in Europe and around the world, ministers will discuss experiences in food supply and provide an overview of their country's food supply systems. Ensuring public access to food is a key national security issue, so the ministers will examine the resilience of food supply chains and preparedness for crises, as well as outline potential cooperation in the Baltic region.

During the course of the ministerial meeting, there will also be a discussion with the chairman of the international project
"Peace Bread", Anton Blöth, about the future direction of the international initiative.
