Minister and Polish Ambassador agree that Europe needs to terminate its strategic dependence on Russia

Today, the Minister of Agriculture, Armands Krauze, met with the Polish Ambassador to Latvia, Monika Mihalishina. They discussed the position of both countries regarding severing economic ties with aggressor Russia, extending the same stance to Belarus. Europe needs to terminate its strategic dependence of the agricultural and food industry on Russia, by setting even higher import tariffs on Russian and Belarusian plant products. Additionally, there should be a sustained effort to include specific agricultural and food products on the sanctions list, which requires the decision from all EU member states.
